Worship this Sunday, July 19th at 10 am will feature scripture from 2 Samuel 7:1-14a read by Jane Clarke telling the story of King David’s desire to house the ark of God in a place as grand as his own palace. Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, titled, A House Not Built with Hands, will explore the desire to do something tangible as religious expression while often failing to simply recognize the beautiful fact of God’s ever-presence. The sermon will invite a hard look at God’s admonition that a building is not what is required and what that means for worship and ministry in the world. The Children’s Time, titled, Sheep without a Shepherd, will teach about Jesus’ compassion and teaching of the least, last and lost people based on Mark 6:34. Kevin Mills will play the organ. The church is located at 18 Town Crier Drive off Putney Road and is handicap-accessible. Contact us via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 802-254-4218. All are welcome!
