Worship this Sunday, June 14th at 10 am will celebrate our Sixth Annual Blessing of the Bikes with an uplifting, spirited service. Scripture from 1 Samuel 15:34-16:13 will be read by Jane Clarke which says, in part, “the LORD does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.’” Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, titled, Gangs, Tribes, Families, will explore the “us vs. them” herd mentality and the ways in which Jesus’ admonition to love neighbor can transform peer groups into the body of Christ. The Children’s Time, titled, Planting Seeds, will teach about growing the kingdom of God based on Mark 4. Kevin Mills will play the organ. After worship and fellowship, the church ladies will judge which motorcycle is the prettiest or sportiest and which riders are youngest, oldest, have come the furthest. Gift certificates from The Marina, Top of the Hill Grill and t-shirts from Vintage Steel and Full Throttle will be shared along with event decals and t-shirts. The bikers will leave for a group ride ending at The Tent, a Cornerstone Motorcycle Ministry on Route 9 in Antrim NH for a delicious lunch. The church is located at 18 Town Crier Drive off Putney Road and is handicap-accessible. Contact us via e-mail email@example.com or phone 802-254-4218. All are welcome!
