From Healing to Wholeness

healing-hands-headWorship this Sunday, April 26th at 10 am will be a healing service and will include scripture from Acts 4:5-12, read by Leslie Kramsky, telling the story of Peter describing by whose power healings are accomplished. Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, titled, From Healing to Wholeness, will explore the wounds in we bear due to sin and sickness and how they are healed by God’s love. (View the sermon at this link.) The Children’s Time, titled, Taking Care of the Sheep, will focus on John 10:14-15 and will include corralling some sheep. Kevin Mills will play the organ. Love Came Back

eastercrossandcloudsWorship this Easter Sunday, April 5th at 10 am will include scripture from Mark 16:1-8, read by Doug Reed, telling the story of Jesus’ resurrection through the eyes of the women who found the tomb empty. Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, titled, “Love Came Back,” will explore Jesus’ resurrection not through the lens of a violent, bloody death, but rather an extension of the love God expressed at Christmas, when Love came down to live among creation. The Children’s Time, titled, “Benjamin’s Box” by Melody Carlson and Jack Stockman using symbols found in resurrection eggs. Christina Catino will sing “Was it a Morning Like This” during the offertory. The Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion will be celebrated. The choir will sing “Shout It Out.” Kevin Mills will play the organ. The Brattleboro church is located at 18 Town Crier Drive off Putney Road and is handicap-accessible.
