A New Covenant

judgementWorship this Sunday, March 1st  at 10 am will include scripture from Genesis 17:1-7, 15-16, read by Jane Clarke, telling the story of God’s covenant with Abraham. Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, will focus on The Supper of the Lord, the second in a Lenten series on Wesleyan Spiritual Disciplines.  The Children’s Time, titled, The Game of Life, will focus on Mark 8:35-36 and teach Jesus’ precept of saving life by losing it for the sake of the gospel. The choir, directed by Jenny Hinton, will sing Come Follow Me. Kevin Mills will play the organ. The church is located at 18 Town Crier Drive off Putney Road and is handicap-accessible. Don’t You Know: God Created It All

grasshopperWorship this Sunday, February 8th at 10 am will include scripture from Isaiah 40:21-31, read by Mary Anne Deer, describing the wonderful, everlasting, unsearchable nature of God. Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, entitled Don’t You Know: God Created It All will explore the wondrous nature of creation and God’s care in tension with the bad things that happen within it.  The Children’s Time, titled, Show Others You Care, will focus on Mark 1:32-34 and teach how Jesus showed his love by his actions. Eleanor Vanderpool will sing, “His Eye is on the Sparrow.” The choir, directed by Jenny Hinton, will sing. Kevin Mills will play the organ. We will receive a special Wishing Well offering for the heating fund for the Overflow Shelter. The church is located at 18 Town Crier Drive off Putney Road and is handicap-accessible.
