Blessing of the Animals

animalsWorship this Sunday, October 5th at 10 am celebrates St. Francis of Assisi’s Feast Day with a Blessing of the Animals. All are welcome to bring their leashed, caged or crated pets to come and receive blessings and treats. Scripture from 1 Corinthians 10:16-17, Paul’s explanation of Holy Communion, read by Mary Anne Deer, will kick off our celebration of World Communion Sunday including Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s homemade communion bread and homegrown grape juice from the parsonage vines. Her sermon, entitled One Loaf will explore the inclusive nature of communion across geographic boundaries and through the ages. Kevin Mills will play the organ. Quit Yer Complainin’

Oppression and Opportunity
