Worship will be held this Sunday, April 20th at 10 am celebrating Easter Sunday. Scripture from John 20:1-18 tells the Easter story of Jesus’ resurrection. Rev. Cheryl Meachen will preach a sermon entitled, “Love Wins” which will explore the incredible truth that love prevails over hate, eternal life is the victor over death and light overcomes the darkness. The congregation will process into the sanctuary with candles returning the light which seemed to be snuffed on Good Friday at Jesus’ death. Patti French has created a beautiful altar that features spring flowers given in memory and honor of the congregation’s loved ones. Eleanor Vanderpool and Patti French will sing a duet and then lead the congregation in singing Crown Him with Many Crowns. Our billowers: Patti French, Jean MacLean, Cheryl Meachen and Betty Stacy will dance liturgically with long bands of cloth as Christi Catino sings “Was it a Morning Like This?” Our choir will present a Cantata entitled, “Jesus: the One and Only” narrated by Doug Reed and directed by Jenny Hinton. A potluck Easter brunch precedes the service at 8:30 where all are welcome! Contact us via e-mail email@example.com or phone 802-254-4218. The church is located at 18 Town Crier Drive off Putney Road and is handicap-accessible. All are welcome!
