Worship this Sunday, September 8th at 10 am will include the reading of Jesus’ description of the cost of true discipleship being to give up possessions, leave family and life, carry the cross and follow him; scripture found in Luke 14:25-33 to be read by Betty Stacy. Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, entitled, “Having What it Takes to Give Up What it Takes” will explore the preparation we must undertake to build a spiritual foundation. This is Homecoming Sunday, the beginning of the program year! There will be a potluck lunch following worship and displays describing the various ministries seeking new participants.
