Be Prepared!

Worship this Sunday, August 11th at 10 am will include the reading of Jesus’ teaching about being ready for heaven by giving to the poor, knowing that where our treasure is our heart will be and managing our business and relationships well; scripture found in Luke 12:32-48 Preparedto be read by Jane Clarke. Rev. Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, entitled, “Be Prepared,” will explore the serious language Jesus employs admonishing us to be ready. Come join us at our Annual Blueberry Festival THIS SATURDAY, 8/10 from 7-2. There will be blueberry pies, blueberry baked goods, blueberry ice cream; a wonderful blueberry pancake, sausage and fruit breakfast until 10am and a hamburg or hot dog lunch from 11-2. Professional crafters will offer beautiful craft items including: jewelry, homemade chocolates, baby items, wood items, gift baskets, cloth items, Christian t-shirts and glass edge crafts. There will be a Cruise “Night” featuring the Now and Then Car Club of Southern VT and our delightful musical guests will be Santa Croce. A fun silent auction will include items like gas cards from Mobil and gift cards from Price Chopper thanks to Members 1st Credit Union; gift baskets from Maggies’ Hair Salon, Avenue Salon and VT Country Deli; a Digital Frame from Bakers’ Hallmark; gift certificates from the VFW, Curves, Delightfully Delicious Cafe, Thin Crust Pizza and many more. The Festival is held rain or shine but the forecast is GORGEOUS! Bring your friends and enjoy our church’s beautiful backyard overlooking the majestic Connecticut River munching on nature’s blue bounty and enjoying some great music and fun! All are welcome! The church is located at 18 Town Crier Drive off Putney Road, across from the Shell Station and is handicap-accessible.
